Next listed as flown by Baltimore, Maryland (ATC) from 28/2/44, and New Castle (2nd Ferry Group), Wilmington, Deleware (from 28/2/44), to the 3rd AF staging area at Hunter Field, Savannah, Georgia (from 1/3/44). Then went to Homestead Army Air Field, Florida (from 9/3/44), from where the aircraft was flown overseas to the UK via the Southern Ferry Route, departing the USA on 11/3/44. The aircraft record card then lists, SOXO A (Europe) from 11/3/44, and SOXO R (Europe) from 26/3/44. Entered combat with the 391st BG / 574th BS on 9/5/44, coded 4L-V. Flew 55 missions with the 574th BS, then transferred to the 573rd BS, and recoded T6-N on 14/10/44. Flew an additional 62 missions with the 573rd BS between 3/11/44 and April 1945, when it was transferred out of the group when the 391st BG converted to the Douglas A-26. The final entry on the aircraft record card lists, GLUE CON SAL FEA on 29/3/46.
