Built at the Glenn L Martin factory at Baltimore, Maryland as a B-26G-5-MA. Accepted by the Army Air Force on 26/6/44. Then flown by Baltimore, Maryland (ATC) from 1/7/44, to the 3rd AF staging area at Hunter Field, Savannah, Georgia (from 1/7//44). Next went to Preque Isle, Maine (from 25/7/44), from where the aircraft was flown overseas to the UK via the Northern Ferry Route, departing the USA on 2/8/44. The aircraft record card then lists, GLUE 9AF A (Europe - 9th AF) from 2/8/44, and GLUE 9AF G (Europe - 9th AF) from 13/8/44. Entered combat with the 391st BG / 573rd BS on 16/9/44. Suffered unspecified damage in a ground accident at A-73 Roye/Amy, France on 29/11/44. The pilot was Robert W Seck. The aircraft was repaired. Suffered a flat tyre on landing at A-73 Roye/Amy & ran off the end of the runway, collapsing the nose wheel, following the 14/2/45 mission to Merzenich, Germany. The aircraft flown by 2nd Lt. William V Mosher suffered Cat.4 damage, but the aircraft was retained for instructional purposes. The final entry on the aircraft record card lists, GLUE CON SAL FEA on 3/4/46.
