Delivered by air from the Martin Baltimore plant to the Martin, Omaha (Modification Centre), Nebraska, from 21/6/43. Next flown by New Castle (2nd Ferry Group), Wilmington, Deleware (from 4/7/43), to Hunter Field, Savannah, Georgia (from 5/7/43). Then flown by New Castle (2nd Ferry Group), Wilmington, Deleware (from 30/7/43), to Presque Isle, Maine (from 2/8/43), from where it was flown to the UK via the Northern Ferry Route. Next listed as UGLY A (Europe - 8th AF) from 31/7/43, and UGLY R (Europe - 8th AF) from 4/8/43. Crash landed back at Matching Green due to flak damaged hydraulics returning from the 8/5/44 mission to attack German military installations near Bonnieres, France. The aircraft flown by 2nd Lt. Max M Martin ran off the end of the runway, collapsing the landing gear which folded in the nacelles. Was declared Cat. E, damaged beyond repair, and was salvaged on 18th May 1944. The final entry on the aircraft record card lists, CON AFMSC GLUE on 18/5/44. Note, there is no mention on the aircraft record card that this aircraft was converted to a B-26B-30, and just refers to a B-26B model.
