Then flown by Baltimore, Maryland (ATC) from 1/7/44, to the 3rd AF staging area at Hunter Field, Savannah, Georgia (from 1/7//44). Next went to Dow Field, Bangor, Maine (from 10/7/44), from where the aircraft was flown overseas to the UK via the Northern Ferry Route (Listed as North Atlantic Wing), departing the USA on 10/7/44. The aircraft record card then lists, GLUE 9AF A (Europe - 9th AF) from 10/7/44, and GLUE 9AF G (Europe - 9th AF) from 23/7/44. Entered combat with the 1st Pathfinder SQN on 13/1/45. Damaged Cat.3 in a taxiing accident with 44-67811, also of the 1st Pathfinder SQN at A-72, Peronne, France on 3/3/45. The pilot was Richard G Johnson. The pilot of 44-67811 was Edward B Fitch. The aircraft was repaired, and went on to complete 35 combat missions and survived the war. The final entries on the aircraft record card list, GLUE CON SAL FEA on 22/3/46, and, "Condemned overseas, dated 10/5/46".
