Target: Fuel & Ammo Dump at Foret d'Andaine
Target : Fuel and Ammunition Dump in the Foret d'Andaine, France. The usual thirty-six plane formation was dispatched to attack the enemy's materials in the Forest, and "area bombing" methods were employed with the attack carried out individually by flights. Ninety-six 500-pound and three hundred-twelve 250-pound General Purpose bombs were scattered over the target area from altitudes ranging from 10,400 to 12,000 feet. There were no losses, casualties, or battle-damage on the mission.
