Note: The formation was changed to a Pathfinder mission due to bad weather.
A strongly fortified defended town in the path of advancing 1st Army troops whose progress towards a break through would be greatly facilitated by the wiping out of this enemy position.
A Pathfinder mission to bomb the defended defended town of Elsdorf, Germany, was run on November 29. Thirty-two planes were dispatched, including two pathfinder ships, and they dropped four hundred thirty-three 250-pound General Purpose bombs, using the Pathfinder technique. There were no losses, damage, or casualties on the mission. Results were unknown because photo coverage and visual observation were not possible.
