Ex-344th BG aircraft. Entered combat with the 1st Pathfinder SQN on 16/2/45, coded as 1H-E. Damaged by flak near Lienen, Germany on the 21/3/45 whilst directing the 387th BG to target at Coesfeld, Germany. One crew member was killed and another badly injured, when the aircraft was hit in the navigators compartment. The pilot, 1st Lt. Ralph Warren Miller made an emergency landing at B-86 Airfield, Helmond, Holland, an RAF base (182 SQN Hawker Typhoons) to get urgent medical attention for the wounded crew member before flying back to A-72 Peronne. Flew 23 combat missions with the 1st Pathfinder Squadron, the last one on 19/4/45. The final entries on the aircraft record card list, GLUE CON SAL FEA on 28/3/46, and, "Condemned Overseas, dated 10/5/46".
