Then flown by New Castle (2nd Ferry Group), Wilmington, Deleware (from 22/6/44), to the 3rd AF staging area at Hunter Field, Savannah, Georgia (from 23/6/44). Then went to Dow Field, Bangor, Maine (from 30/6/44), from where the aircraft was flown overseas to the UK via the Northern Ferry Route, departing the USA on 1/7/44. The aircraft record card then lists, GLUE 9AF A (Europe - 9th AF) from 30/6/44, and GLUE 9AF G (Europe - 9th AF) from 8/7/44. Entered combat with the 1st Pathfinder SQN on 17/8/44, coded 1H-U, leading the 394th BG to the Le Ferriere-Sur-Risle RR bridge, France flown by Major Porter. Crash landed at A-61 Beauvais / Tille, France on 1/12/44 flown by Richard G Johnson. The aircraft which had flown 12 combat missions, suffered Cat.4 damage, but was repaired. Rejoined the 1st Pathfinder SQN, recoded as 1H-O, and named "10 Tenths". Resumed combat on 8/2/45, and flew an additional 36 missions, the last on 19/4/45. The final entries on the aircraft record card list, GLUE CON SAL FEA on 30/3/46, and, "Condemned Overseas, dated 10/5/46".
