Transferred from the 344th BG, retaining the original nose name "Sleepy Time Gal". The aircraft was assigned the code 1H-E, but it never applied to the aircraft. Entered combat with the 1st Pathfinder SQN on 20/4/44. Suffered severe damage on the 24/12/44. The aircraft flown by 1st Lt. Dale R Bartels, crash landed at A-69, Laon-Athies, France and was salvaged. Other crew were: 1st Lt. Ray B Field, 1st Lt. Bill Carls, 1st Lt. Welborn, Leonard Levin, Gene Checkemain, and Carl Ulery. The final entry on the aircraft record card lists, SOXO CON MIA (9th AF) on 24/12/44.
