Next listed at New Castle (2nd Ferry Group), Wilmington, Deleware (from 7/5/43), Barksdale Field, Louisiana (from 12/5/43), Hunter Field, Savannah, Georgia (from 27/5/43), New Castle (2nd Ferry Group), Wilmington, Deleware (from 3/6/43), and Presque Isle, Maine (from 9/6/43), from where it was flown over to the UK via the Northern Ferry Route. Next listed as UGLY A (Europe - 8th AF) from 10/6/43, and, UGLY R (Europe - 8th AF) from 21/6/43. Crash landed back at Matching Green (station 166) due to flak damage on the 15/6/44 mission to St. Martin du Besaces, France. The pilot was, 2nd Lt. Robert G Dickenson. The aircraft was repaired.
